1) 1989, technical recruiter, sales, business development, for the Technical Careers Houston branch, as part of a very large Dallas employment agency called: Diversified Human Resources Group (DHRG); Gary Steeds, Cary Trabolka, Mike Brothers, and my first mentor: Keith (Howlette) Richards – stand up training every day for 30 minutes; “Rookie of the Year” award; this is the base foundation of technical recruiting skills Larry still uses today.
2) 1993, sales, #1 cold-caller, lead recruiter, highest paid employee for the last 6 months of 1995, clocked at 750 inbound and outbound phone calls, incoming dials, outbound dials, InfoShare Networking Services (Novell VAR, UNIX VAR) in Houston Texas, placing only Information Technology related people: networking, programming. Learned how to perform Visual C++ MFC programmer verbal technical interviews (DLL 16 vs 32 bit, medium pointers). Performed Netware testing. Trained under Jon Ferns one of the top AS/400 recruiters in the country.
3) 1997, joined Robert Pope, the owner of Enterprise Networking Systems, a Microsoft Gold VAR to be his first employee of InTelliStaff. Grew that Agency to 4 recruiters, 1-2 sales reps, for 2 years, providing contract & permanent placement across mostly: network engineering, software engineering, technicians, support, sales people, financial services clients such as H.D. Vest, game development and internet service providers (ISPs) also focused on: VC++, COM, VB, ASP, SQL. Hit the record in November of 1999.
4) Founded Computer Staff in December of 1999 – working on every aspect of this business, business development, sales and especially recruiting. Grew agency to 1-2 sales reps, and 4 recruiters. Set revenue profit record in 2004. And second record in 2007. Focused on financial industries, dot coms, commercial software, securities trading software, web development, database development, testing, deployment, systems support, GUI, graphics, game development, and C#, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, SQL Server, but also software sales, networking.
